Daniel’s journey began at a young age when he first picked up a clarinet. By the time he was at high school Daniel was playing and teaching clarinet, saxophone and flute; he was studying AMEB musicianship and performing with the Sydney Youth Orchestra. It was also at this time that Daniel taught himself to play guitar and became involved with burgeoning local rock bands of the day.
By Year 11 Daniel had moved on to the Australian Institute of Music. After studying music performance for a year he aspired to meet a greater challenge, undertaking a major in Audio Engineering. During this time Daniel’s interest in different musical styles and recording technology grew. He was soon introduced to the Sydney Rave Scene where he learned how to deejay. After three months Daniel was starting to gig regularly.
Not satisfied with playing other people’s material Daniel decided to combine his love of music with his talents as an audio engineer. He started producing his own dance music and a new enterprise was born.
In 2004 Daniel was signed to Australia’s only Happy Hardcore Label Executive Records; he has also released records in the UK and Spain.
After graduating from the AIM with a degree in music majoring in audio engineering, Daniel began his professional career at Radio 2UE in Sydney.
After working on the John Stanley and Stan Zemanek programs Daniel was promoted to become the station’s Commercial Producer, a position he held for 5 years.
Daniel joined the Lockup team in May 2010 and has worked with numerous local bands both in the studio and as a live engineer including Radio Ink, Ugly Bitch, Sound of Seasons, Red Remedy and Ball Park Music.
